FAQ
1. How long does it take to build my shutters?
Standard build time is 1–7 days depending on size.
2. How long does shipping take?
Most orders arrive within 5–8 business days after production.
3. Are shutters sold as a set or individually?
All shutters are sold as a pair (one set of two).
4. Do they come stained and ready to install?
Yes. Every shutter is fully stained, sealed, and ready for installation. Unless you choose the no-stain option.
5. Can cedar be used outdoors?
Absolutely. Cedar is naturally rot-resistant and ideal for exterior use.
6. Do you offer custom sizes?
Yes — if you need a size not listed, you can request a custom quote.
7. What mounting hardware do I need?
Most homeowners use standard exterior screws suited to their siding type.
8. Do you accept returns on custom shutters?
Because each set is handmade to order, we cannot accept returns unless the product arrives damaged or if we gave you the wrong size/shutter.
9. Will the color look exactly like the photos?
Cedar is a natural wood, and each board has its own unique grain and character. Because of this, slight variations in tone can occur. Screen settings may also cause colors to appear a bit different online. These natural differences are part of what gives each shutter its handcrafted, rustic look.
10. How do I measure for the correct size?
To determine the correct height, measure the height of your window opening — this will be the shutter height you select.
For width, measure the width of your window and divide that number by two. This gives you a general guideline for how wide each shutter should be. We offer five different shutter widths, so you can choose the option that best fits your window and the look you prefer.
The width does not need to be exact. Some homeowners prefer a wider, more substantial shutter, while others prefer a slimmer profile — it ultimately comes down to personal preference.
We also provide a width guide chart in the product images to help you choose the best option for your window.
