Solid cedar is naturally built to withstand harsh outdoor elements. Cedar resists moisture, insects, and decay due to an inherent anti-fungal property called thujaplicin, which is found within the wood itself and acts as a natural fungicide. Unlike other woods and synthetic materials, cedar is not prone to warping, bending, breaking, or scratching. Our shutters are made entirely from genuine solid cedar and are sealed using exterior-grade products to further protect the wood while preserving its raw character.
